I am sure there is something that I’m missing, but I start the drying of tobacco on a metal pan lined with a thin piece of cardboard, once the tobacco is at optimal level of moisture it packs quickly. The 80% satisfied with the cigarette comes down to the idea that I have to be careful with every cigarette that I smoke. I have to feel the entire cigarette with gentle fingers to make sure there are not pockets throughout the entire cigarette, which 80% of the time, they are packed well; 20% of the time, I have to pack the individual cigarette and lose about 10% of smokable cigarette. The other problem I have not been able to troubleshoot, the amount of tobacco to dry out.

If they had gone a bit further and added a hopper that would hold 200 tubes and would load and fill the tubes automatically, then I would feel they had a KICK-ASS machine. I contacted Fresh Choice Inc.This is true, but a company must always try to improve their product or competition will bury them. All this machine does over the Powermatic 2 is that it holds more tobacco in the hopper and it compresses the tobacco for filling the tubes (which is very nice). It looks cheap. It looks like a coffee machine. When I first used the machine it was confusing. It took me a while to get used to it. It is not fast enough. The machine is still not bad though. Before I bought this, I had a rainbow 10 machine and it was much faster. I could make 10 at a time. It cost 200 which was a good price. It malfunction and stopped working after 11 months since buying it. That machine worked fantastic. You could easily make 10 cigarettes. You don’t have to hold the tubesI did have to open the machine and adjust the compression. It took me two times adjusting the compression to get it where I wanted it to be. There are videos on YouTube to show how to do this and alot more (it's easy) This is IMPORTANT. If you purchase this machine then buy a moisture meter. The machine likes the moisture content at 14%. The tobacco that I prefer is usually at 24%. At first, I would air dry the tobacco and it would take over 6 hours. Then I discovered how to do it in about ten minutes. At 24% moisture I put 8oz. Then I dump it in a cardboard box from Staples made for flie storage and I bounce it until it is room temperature. Then I check it again for moisture content. I continue bouncing it until it reaches 14%. Only check for moisture content when the tobacco is cool. If you go too far then add a lettuce leaf to the tobacco to add moisture and check it periodically. I leisurely make a carton of cigarettes in less than an hour (I'm not trying to set a speed record). It produces very good cigarettes and they taste better than retail cigarettes, with no added chemicals and no fire retardent (I only have to light the cigarette once). Know this, NO RYO machine is going to give you perfectly rolled cigarettes 100% of the time. But they will give more than adequate cigarettes. A majority of them will be perfect (or close to perfect). Some will not be perfect but they will be smokable. You can give your machine away or throw it away and it cost you NOTHING.
